The light altimeter developed by vorteX.io to address hydrology monitoring inherits from space altimeter specifications, designed and set up since TOPEX/Poseidon (joint satellite mission between NASA and CNES launched in 1992 to map ocean surface topography) to provide accurate sea surface height measurements and embedded in Jason or Sentinel altimeter missions.
Also, vorteX.io is an active member of the New Space economy by providing CNES innovative services to validate the solution for the Sentinel-3 and oncoming SWOT missions for water level measurements of hydrological systems.
